The hotel offers a mixed experience with some positives and negatives. The rooms, while dark with dated decor, were adequate and matched the online pictures. However, there were drainage issues in the bathroom. The service was attentive, with a helpful refund and quick resolution of billing problems. The location is central in Faversham, a vibrant town with traditional appeal. The dining was top-notch with a knowledgeable chef and local produce, yet facilities could use some improvements.

The hotel boasts a superb location right in the heart of Faversham, offering easy access to the town's attractions and dining options. However, cleanliness issues near the kitchen area were noted, affecting the overall ambiance.

The dining experience was exceptional with a top chef and local produce used in the dishes. The chef went above and beyond to accommodate guests, even assisting with a hangover remedy. However, improvements are needed in the facilities to enhance the overall dining experience.

I had such a charming stay at The Sun Inn! The rooms were tastefully decorated with old charm and good facilities, although the noise from the pump system was a bit loud. The service was very attentive, and the staff had a warm and friendly attitude. The location in the quiet old part of the town was perfect, though a bit of a hassle in terms of accessibility. The dining experience was good, but there were some service issues. Overall, a lovely traditional inn with excellent ambiance.

The rooms at The Sun Inn were tastefully decorated with old charm and good facilities. Although they were lovely, the noise from the pump system was quite loud like a noisy coffee machine in the room.
Service
9.0
The service at The Sun Inn was very attentive, and the staff had a warm and friendly attitude. They even brought some actual butter without us having to ask.
Location
7.0
The location of The Sun Inn in the quiet old part of the town was perfect, just a ten-minute walk from the railway station. However, accessibility was a bit of a pain and added to the overall cost of the stay.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience at The Sun Inn was good, with tasty food and a traditional ambiance. However, the service had some issues like bringing out dishes before we finished and not offering more coffee.
Facilities
8.0
The Sun Inn had great facilities with a traditional atmosphere and tasty food. The rooms were spacious and had old exposed beams, adding to the overall experience.

8.0/10

The hotel, located in a remarkable historic town, offers rooms with little touches like a toothbrush and hot chocolate. While understanding the lack of daily servicing, the top floor location in a historic building impacts the shower's water pressure and heat retention. The atmosphere is lovely with plenty to do nearby.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms are not serviced daily, which we appreciated, and are filled with thoughtful touches like a toothbrush and hot chocolate. The historic building's top-floor setting does affect the shower's water pressure and heat retention at times. However, the atmosphere is cozy and there are many activities to enjoy in the town.
Service
8.0
The service was friendly and accommodating. Staff were proactive in addressing issues, like arranging for door cleaning and painting. They made our stay enjoyable despite current restrictions. The location offers free parking overnight and convenient paid options during the day.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is excellent as a base for exploring Faversham and Kent. While in the town center on a quiet pedestrian street, it's just a short walk from convenient parking on Thomas Road. The setting provides a perfect escape but is slightly overpriced.
Dining
8.0
The dining experience was pleasant, with good breakfast offerings. The staff were attentive and seemed genuinely interested in providing excellent service. However, the dining prices might be considered high.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel's facilities were well-maintained and catered to our needs. The complimentary amenities provided value for money, although some could find the overall cost slightly high.
